Filipino-American cellist Isabella Palacpac is a performer, recording artist, and teacher based in Connecticut and New York City. She is a member of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
Isabella received her Bachelor’s degree in 2020 from The Juilliard School after having also attended Juilliard’s Pre-College Division since fourth grade. She recently toured extensively with the classical/pop/rock crossover piano trio TAKE3. Her performance highlights with TAKE3 include concerts with the Johnson City Symphony in Tennessee, the Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra in Colorado, and the Lancaster Festival Orchestra as the opener for Wilson Philipps, among many others. An avid musical theater pit musician, she has performed in productions at regional and local theaters, including The Ivoryton Playhouse, A Contemporary Theater of Connecticut, The Wilton Playshop, Curtain Call Inc., Okaeri Productions (NYC), Ridgefield Theater Barn, and the Brookfield Theater for the Arts.
Isabella has appeared on stages throughout America, China, Canada, Russia, and Switzerland. She was selected twice as a participant in the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians and toured China with Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra of the USA in 2015. Locally, she has appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, the American Chamber Orchestra, and the Eastern Connecticut Youth Symphony Orchestra. As a music educator, she has worked for programs such as The Cello Camp in Westport, CT, The Harmony Program, and The Nucleo Corona Music Project, and has adjudicated for The Schubert Club of Fairfield County.
